Vancouver, British Columbia (April 24, 2007) – The top female performers of Vancouver are massing for a live rock performance at Ginger 62 on Thursday, May 10 2007. The second installment of Arc 2’s “Stripped” Charity Concert Series, "Girls Rock" features pop punk princesses Siobhan Duvall, Jessica Beach, Camille Miller and Rebecca Ramone. After this winter’s bluesy Soul Sistas, Girls Rock continues the evolution, introducing a harder, grittier sound to the stage. The live, unplugged concert also features fashion runway by denim legend, Parasuco and a celebrity photo exhibition by renowned Rolling Stone photographer, Angela Hubbard.
CEO of Arc 2 Intertainment, and creator of the “Stripped” series, Andy Chu says, “These four female performers are making it big not only across the country, but internationally; the Vancouver crowd will be blown away by the megawatt talent of their own locals.”
Former guitarist for The Bombshells and Bif Naked, Siobhan Duvall recently released her first full length album, ‘STAR’, and has appeared on VH-1's Top Twenty Countdown. Jessica Beach is the winner of Calgary radio station VIBE 98.5 Unsigned Vibe 2004 contest, where she was awarded funding to record her album "Sticky Hands" and produce a video for the single "Change". Camille Miller recently completed two independent tours in the UK and was invited to play the JUNO FEST in Halifax Nova Scotia 2006. Her third CD “Somewhere Near The Truth” will be release on July 2007. Rebecca Ramone, the winner of FMA Vancouver 2006 music competition, has opened for A Simple Plan at the Saddledome and sung backups on everything from punk (Ghosts of Modern Man) to country (Debra Ainsworth, Justin Ament).
Each of the three ‘Stripped’ concerts feature different forms of creative talent, from dance, to art, to fashion runway, all set against powerful musical performances. The whole series builds up to the fall finale, FMA Vancouver. This huge benefit gala event unites live music with live fashion runway and artistic performance all on one stage. In the past three years FMA has grown to showcase international designers such as Reem Acra, along with local emerging talent.
